Background
Void is one of the few members of Wraith Squadron not from a military background. Like all Defels, Void was born on Af’El. As soon as he was old enough, the young Wraith, like many of his fellow Defel’s left their planet and sought action and adventure elsewhere. Void became a bodyguard/assassin/mercenary for several of the regional crime lords, becoming famous for his abilities as both a sniper, and his artistic touch with demolitions. However, it wasn’t enough for the young Defel, and he felt somehow tainted by his own work. It was after one fateful mission he was arrested and thrown in a military stockade.
However it was that very incident that was to change the course of his life. A certain inmate has been sent to the military stockade for a crime he didn't commit. That prisoner was Face Loran. After assisting the commando with some of the finer points of escape (and the pair saving each others lives in the process), Void and Face became good friends. It was only after seeing what Face and his fellow Wraiths risked to help each other out, that Void realised what he was missing when he did his dirty work alone.
With Face’s recommendation, Void received a ‘simulated’ Sergeants rank in the New Republic Special Forces, and was immediately seconded to Wraith Squadron.
Physical Attributes and Abilities
Like all his kind, Void has the natural ability to absorb light. In the ultraviolet spectrum, Void appears a wonderful deep cyan with yellow flecks. However, in the ‘visible’ light range, he appears as nothing more than a shadow, his fur absorbing the lightwaves causing him (when in low light conditions) practically invisible. He is also an accomplished hand-to-hand fighter, with the natural strength, claws and teeth aiding him in combat. Finally, he is a top-rated sniper, as well as a true demolitions expert. In fact, his olfactory sense allows him to detect and identify most forms of commonly known explosives.
Personality Traits
Void constantly struggles with the more primitive emotions and behaviour some of his species are known for. He is also exceedingly distrustful of most other people, but once their trust is earned (like most of the Wraiths) he is especially loyal.
Military Rank and Current Assignment
Void is a simulated Sergeant in the New Republic Special Forces, permanently assigned to Wraith Squadron.
Significant Possessions
His preferred weapon is the T-28 Repeating sniper rifle, although he also treasures his own personal Verpine Sniper Rifle. Although these weapons are fragile, their versatility is unrivalled.
Starships
It is unknown if Void has any personal starships, although he (like all Wraiths) feels possessive towards the Sacul
Astromech
Although Void is technically qualified in Starfighter combat, he does not own an astromech of his own.
