Rek Valen is a private in Firestorm. He was drafted in from the SpecForces Company of the Razorcat Battalion shortly after the Imperial Resurgence.

Background
Born onto an asteroid, Valen spent the first twelve years of his life serving a cult who woshipped the Dark Side of the Force. Eventually, he killed his father, allowing him to escape. He joined the Imperial forces, serving as a stormtrooper. After the Battle of Endor, he left the Empire, first becoming a mercenary, and then joining the New Republic for unknown reasons. He trained as a special forces soldier, becoming a member of the 1st Regiment of the New Republic Special Forces. His speciality is close combat, particularly aboard starships and space stations.
Physical Attributes and Abilities
Just under regulation stormtrooper height at 1.82cm, Valen has a muscular, broad chest and a powerfully compact frame. He is ruthless in battle, having survived numerous tours of duty, both as a stormtrooper, mercenary and New Republic soldier. He is extremely proficient with all hand held and ship based weaponry as well as close quarters hand to hand combat.
Personality Traits
Sullen, quiet and angry. Valen’s professional skills are often overlooked because of his personality and his past. Whilst the majority of his past is hidden, it is still available for those with high enough security clearance. Valen works well in a team, but does not bond or socialise with his colleagues.
It is possibly that Valen is Force Sensitive, his time with the Dark Side cult possibly tainting any skill he may have.
