Gemmer Gavin (Earth)
Gemmer, or "Ben," in the real world, is a life-long friend of Dru Kargin, and long-time friend of Bowman Gavin, General Horn, and Derek Klivian. He was invited to RS during the RS Summer Bash, and was responsible, shortly thereafter, for the Dru's invitation. He was a relatively active author in Plot 3, and a participant in non-canon side-plot epics such as the Hunt for Borsk, before fading from the RS scene following the Great Board Crash of 2001.
Following that fateful day, Gemmer went on to co-administer the Hawkbats Discussion Forum, an active contributor to the board's writing throughout its duration.
Following the closing of the Hawkbats Forum, Gemmer faded from the world of online Star Wars fan fiction, and has since pursued -- and acheived -- a goal of graduating from the United States Military Academy. Most recently, Gemmer has graduated from Tank Commander school (ed. I'm sure it has a more formal name... but I don't know what it is), and is awaiting assignment to a battalion in Washington state.
