Life Outside RS

Outside RS, Face is a Ninja Crimefighter in the UK. He's married to Mrs. Face, who he met through Mish (who he met via Rogue Squadron!).

He's met various of the members of Rogue and Wraith Squadron, including several that came over for his wedding, Mish, Shadow, Gav and Myn. He (along with his travelling companion Ben) also attended the Great RS Meet 2007 being one of the instigators, and (finally) met Corran, Wes and Rillao, as well as seeing Shadow and Gavin again! Their method of transport was Britannia a winnebago they'd hired for the trip. Before eventually flying home, they also met Zak/Josh in Disneyland!

He is also good friends with Void who he introduced to the board. Face is also the instigator for the now infamous Rogue/Wraith Hat of Adventure, after sporting his own HOA at the Great RS Meet 2007.

History in RS

Joining Rogue Squadron

On February 19, 1999, Callum Fraser joined the Rogue Squadron e-mail loop under the alias Garik "Face" Loran. He was our first British member and, at the time, our oldest. He is also (excluding the founding Generals) the longest-active members in RS.

Creation of Wraith Squadron

Following the Great RS Board Crash of 2001, Face created the Wraith Squadron message board, one of many off-shoot clubs. With a collection of pilots who had identified themselves as Rogues and Wraiths in RS, Wraith Squadron wrote the longest non-RS Plot group plot to date. Wraith Squadron sustained for several years, although activity gradually declined. Some members of the club, particularly the Rogues, shifted their activity back to RS with the restructuring of RS back into one message board and the continuation of the RS Plot in Plot 5. The rest of the members of Wraith Squadron rejoined the RS Plot during Plot 9.

Wedge: Face and Phanan are still together, I'd hate to break up the best comedy team this side of the janitor closet!

Phanan: I love an understanding Commander... anyone know where I can get one...?

Sheer quality. And I'm sure that Face started the whole Lt. Kettch thing. Jade is pretty cool, although I'm not entirely sure what you have in for Callista, Rystati... she's not all that bad!

Face and TPM

One of Face’s biggest challenges after joining RS was being in a Star Wars club full of Americans who would get to see The Phantom Menace two months before he could see it in England. The wait for Face was agonizing, but the rest of the members did their part not to spoil TPM by always leaving a large “spoiler space” at the top of each e-mail containing TPM spoilers.

HOW tempting is it for me to read Cali's e-mail?!??!!? Oh I can't take this.... How can I survive 2 MONTHS with these e-mails... I'm going to be a nervous wreck.... I can't take it! NO!!! I must be strong, I must resist the Dark Side. ROGUES, I AM IN MY HOUR (well two months) OF NEED!!! HELP ME!!!!!

1 MONTH TO GO!!! Whoo-Hoo, only a month! I CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!

I HAVE MY STAR WARS TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!! 9:30 Thursday 15th July and I can read all those e-mails!

I have centre seats in the most centre row of the cinema! I love it when a plan comes together! Only 12 days to go! 12 days... I CAN MAKE IT!!!!

Ooooh, I can hardly wait.

It's Tuesday evening, Thurday morning in when I get to see TPM, 9:30am, my wait is almost over!!! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha, oh, sorry, got carried away. Tomorrow afternoon/evening we (my friends and I) have a Star Wars evening. All three films, and numerous beverages! It's gong to be a fantastic two days!! Well, I'm off to get some sleep. I VERY much doubt I'll be able to tomorrow night!

And now, it's only 9 hours and twenty minutes to go. When next you hear of me, I'll be able to read all the TPM e-mails! At last I can return properly, at last we will be able to take revenge on the Jedi... OK, so I've wathced the trailer too many times!

Right... TPM. OK. Firstly, I liked it. It wasn't brilliant, but it was a good film. However, my enjoyment was marred when the sound started misbehaving, and during the climax we lost 5 mins of film. I couldn't believe it!!! The first showing of Star Wars TMP, and the film has 20 foot of blank tape. So I didn't see how Qui-Gonn and Obi-Wan got into that Force-Field area. Anakin fly into the droidship or the Queen get captured! I'm gonna go again next week though so... Two quickees. Why didn't Qui-Gonn disappear (I know it's been mentioned, does anyone have an explanation?) Also, 'Bail Antilles'. Now, I know that Leia's REAL father is only 9 years old in the film, so her adopted one isn't much older (I would think) but is anyone else concerned about the similarities of names? Overall. Good film. Hope it's better the second time, but I wish that there weren't questions to be answered that don't gel with the original three.

Well, having seen TPM FOUR Times (I'll probably see it for a fifth before it stops it run!) I have to say that I wasn't verly impressed. In my opinion, WE could do so musc better! (although I think we better let Iella stay away from the story to begin with!) It was good, but not as good as I'd hoped. Oh well, there's always episode II!
