Background
Little is known about Lieutenant Jaa'roo's past beyond records transferred from Ryloth upon her application to the New Republic Military Academy.
According to records, Jaa'roo was born to Arkanian (Offshoot) freighter pilots, Logos and Fillia Onone. Intelligence records taken during the time of the Rebellion indicate that the Onone's had aided the Alliance by smuggling messages and supplies to and from the Twi'lek homeworld during its occupation by the Empire. At the age of five, the Lieutenant's parents were killed when their ship was destroyed by an Imperial patrol just outside the Ryloth system. With all known family dead, young Brya was adopted by her parents' close friends of the Twi'lek clan "Aroo". Due to the nature of Twi'lek naming conventions, Brya's name was changed to Bryaa'roo.
After thirteen years on Ryloth, during which time she began to show increasing interest in Twi'lek warrior traditions, Brya's adoptive parents revealed to their daughter the truth of her past and the circumstances surrounding the death of her biological parents.
The truth of her past left Brya with a strong animosity of her own towards the Empire. Not long afterwards, she applied and was accepted into the New Republic Military Academy on Coruscant. As a farewell gift, her adoptive father presented her with his Chir'daki-class fighter. After leaving Ryloth, Brya altered her name to reflect more popular naming conventions, as well as supplementing her clan name with the name of her adoptive father-- from Bryaa'roo to Brya Jaa’roo.
Was romantically involved with a fellow classmate at the Academy, but the relationship was broken off when the two pursued different branches of service.
After graduating from the Academy, specializing in Field Intelligence Operations and Undercover Field Operations, she was personally offered a position in the New Republic Intelligence by Airen Cracken.
Later promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and assigned to Black Force Squadron, however, when the squadron was decimated in the Imperial resurgence, Black Force was dissolved, and Brya reassigned to Wraith Squadron.
Biography
The Battle of Bormari
During the Battle of Bormari, Black Force Squadron was temporarily assigned to Kre’fey’s fleet. Byra served as wingman to the squadron's Lead.
During the battle, Brya's X-Wing was heavily damaged when a TIE Fighter collided with her starboard S-foils. Fortunately, she was able to eject before her fighter exploded. Not long after, she, and several other EV pilots, were rescued by the Sacul. After recovering in the Sacul's med-bey, she was transfered back to Kre’fey’s flagship until returning to Coruscant.

Personality Traits
In her youth, Brya was a fierce and occasionally hot-tempered individual; emotionally defensive and distant from all save her adoptive family. During her time in the Academy, she developed a softer side and learned to keep her fierce temper in check. She is passionately devoted to the Republic.
