Asha Loran was the wife of Garik "Face" Loran before succumbing to a fatal blaster shot from Shira Brie on the Queens Pearl.

Background

Asha was born on Tralus in the Corellian system. After growing up working in her parents factory, she saved up her credits and bought a YT-2000 freighter, the Midnight Wind, setting herself up as a simple trader. Although she occasionally dabbled in slightly dubious goods, she was never a smuggler. After a while, she bought a LE series repair droid, Sparks to keep her company on the long voyages and give her a hand with the upkeep of the Wind.

It was on one of her trades that she got involved in a barfight that would change her life forever. Seeing a bushy bearded man get assaulted in a lowly Coruscant bar, she took pity, stunning his assailants and taking the male back to her ship. It was only when he regained consciousness that he revealed himself to be Face Loran, a Colonel in the New Republic and ex-holostar teenage heartthrob.

What followed was a romance Asha had never dreamed of, especially when after only a few dates, Face disappeared on Sekar IV along with the rest of his squad (Wraith Squadron). Ashas then helped Vape, Jazz, Zraix, and the rest of the LOEAI steal the Sacul and fly to Sekar IV to rescue them. Something that Face promised she wouldn't regret.

Asha then spent a lot of time with Face and the rest of the Wraiths, as she stayed with them more and more on the Sacul. She eventually fell in love with Face, accepting his invitation to a short break on the Queens Pearl luxury liner. Whilst on the liner, she realised that although she felt she loved Face, and felt that he loved her in return, whilst he still felt he had an obligation to bring Shira Brie to justice (in one way or another) he would never be free to commit to a relationship 100%. It was because of this that she refused his proposal of marriage.

However, immediately afterwards, the Pearl was attacked by Shira, with her new apprentice Bowman Gavin with 500 stormtroopers. Despite assisting greatly in the protection of the civilians and assisting in the escape, Asha was fatally shot in the chest by Shira in the last exchange of the battle.

As she lay dying in Face's arms in the Saculs airlock, Asha began the Mandalorian Wedding Ceremony, a short, private statement between two parties which legally bound them in marriage. A tearful Face joined in, and with her last breath Asha Torsyn became Asha Loran.

Asha personality was one of fun. She was always pleasant to people and immensely enjoyed teasing Face and generally finding joy where she could in her life
